I have owned this filter for a few years now. We moved into a new place a few months ago, and our Ionic Pro sat in the garage for a while. I noticed my son started to cough in bed a lot before finally falling asleep, then cough again when he woke up. So I finally set the filter up in his room, let it run about half an hour, then put him to bed. He hasn’t coughed once since, and now the filter lives in his room.

The ONLY problem I have with it is how incredibly bright the blue light is. I had to cover it up so it would not completely illuminate his room.

But I love this (totally silent) purifier and am going to buy one for each room of the house when they go on sale.

It works fine on my Jeep Commander dash as there is a nice depressed area to place it. Sure beats the adhesive mount that fell off after the first cold weather road trip.

I liked this book except for the ‘pie’ part and then I found out through my daughter that the author didn’t really interview anyone in the south for any of it. Yes, she grew up there and had a maid but she didn’t even interview her. I was disappointed that most of it was made up. She could have written from her observations I guess but it’s not the same. The characters stayed with me though and it was entertaining.

Over the past 10 years or so, I have bought 5 to 10 pedometers from Sports authority, Radio Shack and on-line. None of them lasted more than 3 months before failing until I bought the Omron HJ112. It is now going on it’s 3rd year, and it does everything that it claims, except that I find that the average battery life is closer to 9 months than 6 (and you can buy these batteries for very low prices on Amazon – I bought 5 Maxell for $2.00). Does everything that it claims – I keep it in my pocket, walk 1,000 or so steps and check the readout – almost right on target – well within the 5% claimed by the manufacturer. Likewise, I walk in NYC a lot where it is easy to measure a mile (20 blocks). Again, almost right on target. Buy this any you’ll probably never buy another.
