Scent is my favorite self-indulgence. The way I figure it is that I may not be able to afford the finest clothes, the finest handbags, or the finest cars, but I can certainly afford the finest scents, and this is one of them. I first encountered Kai on a visit to L.A. Actually, I bought it in a flower shop. You know that fabulous smell that hits you when you walk into a high-end florist, the one that makes you feel as if you are instantly on vacation? That’s Kai. I own the perfume and the body lotion. The perfume oil in particular is a very small size, but a little goes a long way. I get compliments every time I wear it. You deserve it, too.

Just think: 91 year old, J. D. will live on in teenage land forever! God Bless him for creating such a marvelous read.
I love this book because I can read it once a decade since I first encountered it in high school so many years
ago and like it just the same. Holden is forever lively, silly, young and engaging–and it still makes me
shake my head when I remind myself that the story takes place in the late 1940’s. Goes to show you things
really do not change–especially, the sporadic emotions of teens. But I need to say while Salinger’s little
novel is engaging, it is limited. I can understand why people are questioning its immense popularity.
Holden’s journey is just a “slice of life” and not a full story that merits classic fiction.

I’ve had mine for about three years now. When mom wanted to get a similar cleaner, I made sure she bought exactly this one. Whether the new ones are improved, I don’t know, what I do know is this one works.

I just went through an awful period of an aging dog who had to be put to sleep just last week. He was losing control of bladder and bowels and had a cancer growing in his lungs causing him to cough up some really awful stuff. I didn’t even always have time to use heated water. The Hoover was standing by all the time. Even with cold solution, the cleaning was amazing. If you saw the carpet now, you’d never have a clue I had a sick, dying dog spitting up and having “accidents” all over the place.

I think my only complaint is that the top, curved, plastic part where the fluid is sucked up out of the carpet tends to clog with carpet fibers, pet hair, the like (no matter how well you vacuum first). However, I discovered it’s held in place by only three screws that are easily removed and then easily cleaned.

I paid about twice what they cost now. Still worth every dime.

This whole series is great! I love how the author captures your attention at the very beginning and then keeps me enthralled throughout the entire book. There is action, adventure, and mystery as well as character development. This is an easy read and very enjoyable!
