This review will be nothing as eloquent as what you’ve probably previously read. I’ll keep it simple and to the point. The author took a subject which life, time and history has told over, and over and over again — it’s an ugly story. Yet she managed to make her story unique in it’s own way. She did an excellent job developing her characters and readers will love Aibileen and Minnie, the main characters AND who could not be more opposite from one another. At first glance the book’s volume may seem imposing but once you start reading it the 400+ pages go by quickly. You will laugh, cry, be shocked, sickened, disappointed and find yourself rooting for Minnie and Aibileen. While you may not ever look at a chocolate cake quite the same again (read the book and you’ll know what I mean), you cannot help but admire the strength of Minnie and at the same time feel a bitter/sweet sadness for both ladies at the end. And speaking of the end, I would have hoped for a better ending where some others (other than Skeeter) had a happy ending. But then life does not afford us always the opportunity to write our own ending. Looking forward to this becoming a movie. If you’re like me you like to put a face to your characters and I see Queen Latifah as Minnie — how about you?

I had an older version that wouldn’t get signal under trees. I run trails a lot so I needed the dependability of the high sensitivity receiver. It only takes a min to lock on the satellite and maintains it under some heavy cover. I love all the training functions that help you stay motivated when you start getting tired. I use the quick workout w/virtual partner a lot. I have not yet figured out how to race against previous routes. I have not experienced any difficulties and am extremely glad I purchased this. The price was also fantastic compared to other places I found it. I am already getting a better idea of my performance and what I still need to work on.

Unfortunately, I never received the book. I contacted the seller and he immediately responded and advised the item was shipped TWO days after the purchase. He confirmed the mailing address and since it was correct, it was assumed that it was lost in transit. The seller is in the process of giving me a refund. He was very kind.

You will only know if you have been totally brainwashed by religion by reading this book with an open mind and ears to hear. If you can then you will be truely blessed by dialogue that takes place between God and a plain old human being that sincerely wanted answers to the hard questions in his own life. This book could possibly change you life like nothing else you have ever read. Take a chance…if you have been considering it…it may just be your time?

Wow, it’s been four years since it’s release and its still sold out! I called 3 town looking for one and decided to take my chances online, and oh boy am I glad I did! The overnight shipping rate was cheaper than sales tax in the store! I got my Wii today delivered to my door. I am more than pleased with the packaging and shipping rates, and the product was brand new in the box, very high quality! I am recommending this to anyone!

Substantive opinions about Noam Chomsky aside, let me first say that this was an incredibly low quality documentary with very little in the way of production value. There are several black frames interspersed throughout the film for no apparent reason and the Japanese songs that make up its soundtrack are just plain weird. There’s also no central narration and what it amounts to is just a sequence of clips with Mr. Chomsky speaking in his ultra-confident, detached, and low intensity voice. No unifying theme is presented and the topics stray from WWII to Nicaragua to Turkey to Israel to Britain to 9/11, but, of course, even if it is not directly stated his viewpoint can be summarized as full-time anti-Americanism. Basically, in Chomsky’s mind, we’re the real terrorists so we don’t have the right to respond once we’re attacked. That’s a pretty accurate summary of this icon’s opinions. Chomsky made important contributions to linguistics many years ago but has said little of substance since. He thinks he is being very clever when he says that you can’t have a War on Terror, but of course you can as we can hunt down members of groups who have declared war against us and/or take responsibility for terrorist acts. Bono thinks that he’s a rebel without a pause, but Chomsky’s a faux rebel. There’s no danger in being a citizen in American and hating your own country. Chomsky’s been doing it for 40 years and nothing’s ever happened to him and nothing ever will.

I was not quite sure if this would be stable enough for the 5″ Nuvi 1490. According to the Garmin website, this friction mount was supposed to used with the 1490. But if you ever bought something online and was recommended even by the manufacture, then you know things can go wrong. Not with this mount. Even though the screen is 5″ the friction mount does not want to tip or become unstable sitting on the dash. So, no worries for all of you out there that question if you use it on the larger screens, will my GPS become a bobble head? Fear not! Good and stable. Great OEM product and like all Amazon items for sale, a great price!

This is my first Ipod Touch and I love how it feels, it works, and the App Store. The last really makes it worth it. I hardly use the Music player except on long drives in the weekends. For which I got an over the FM streaming device that plugs into the ITouch.

Initially I had a couple of issues that bothered me no end. When I opened it out of the box and charged it through my computer running Windows XP, I noticed that the Itunes Store and Apps Store icons on the home screen were not there. After going through the manual and consulting with other Apple users at work, I realized that these icons come pre-installed and cannot be deleted. I called tech support and went through a complete firmware re-install that got these icons (took about 10-15 minutes). I lost a bunch of data but this was only one hassle of the re-installation process. More importantly I lost the Safari browser and Youtube icons after the re-install. At this point, I was tempted to return the Ipod to Amazon because I thought it was defective and that was the reason that Amazon was discounting it on its website. It was very frustrating because it was ruining the whole experience.

After a day or so, I reluctantly went through the firmware re-install process again myself (didn’t call tech support). Again lost all the data but this time everything started working. Took about 20-30 minutes because of all the data lost had to be synced again.

So, very frustrating first week but a great experience then after.

I have read the book once and have listened to it in it’s entirety 4 times. This is my Bible. It has comfort me many times through the loss of parents and being broken heart by who I thought was the love of my life.

Through the Audio version I have always felt as though God was talking directly to ME. But every couple of years, I need to remind myself how much God loves me and is always there for me.

Even now, as I write this review, I feel like God is watching over my shoulder and I feel so much better about this day.
