Sometimes, reading a book, you wonder about editorial decisions, mostly to do with scenes or plot twists/direction that just do not belong. With this book, I would not have included the photographs that begin each chapter. I thought the writer was doing a more than adequate job in her descriptions and thought the photos detracted. Also, do not need the author’s note at end. Don’t remind us this was fiction, created and crafted; we want to shut the book and remember the story.
Really Easy Violin Book

I was hoping that they were more absorbent. They repel more than anything else, allowing baby, baby’s clothes, etc to get wet/soiled. I would not recommend purchasing unless you are using them as a waterproof mattress protector only. They do not hold up well in the wash either. Even when washed on gentle cycle.
Multi Use Blue Yellow

This is a pretty good story. That being said, this woman is a terrible writer. If I took a drink every time she described Edward’s eyes or overly described some mundane detail I would be completely wasted after a single page. See the movie instead… unless you like a good drinking game.
Thomas the Tank Engine

This was kind of funny in certain parts but it’s one of those old tales I keep seeing in Hollywood: boy and girl meet, boy has a secret, girl discovers it, there’s a misunderstanding, they hate each other and then they love each other.

Kind of cute but could we get some variety or is this all they think the masses want?

There’s a theme here about being yourself which has a lot of truth to it, but, there’s also another theme about standing out in the beginning. Make your own decision.

WOW I have read the first few pages and this guy isnt “conversating with God, hes talking to satan himself. Any one who tells you to rely on your feelings is the biggest deciever ever!! Our feelings are fleeting up and down. Jesus Christ is the Rock that never changes. Thank goodness He didnt go by His feelings when he was dying on the cross for our sins. This book is a big fat LIE!

This scale is unusual in several respects:
1. Very bright, well lit number pad. Very easy to read under any lighting conditions, but does require four AAA batteries.
2. Slow to self-calibrate after you place it on the floor or move it. You literally need to give it a minute to settle down.
3. Slower to decide on your weight than other scales.

I called their customer service and they called back within minutes. They said that they WANT users to realize that the scale is calibrating and so they intenionally don’t make it appear like it is ready to use when it really is not.

Seems like they value accuracy over speed. That is a fair trade-off, just be sure it is the tradeoff that you choose when you purchase the scale.

It does have a beautiful look. I put it on my wood floor and you can see the walnut grain of the floor through the glass. Nice.

This Garmin Friction Mount is perfect for my needs. It stays securely on my dash and it is very easy to attach the GPS. I have a Honda CRV EX so the cords & GPS, with the case I also purchased, stores nicely in the drawer under the passenger seat and the mount under the “moveable” center console. Can grab it and hide it in a flash! The price at Amazon was the best I had seen anywhere. All in all I was very happy with my purchase.
BAHRAIN Feb 9 Caution

I purchased this bathroom scale a few weeks ago. It was inexpensive, lightweight, and yet very accurate. The digital display is easy to read, and the design fits with almost any decor.

And, without meaning to seem rude, this officially leaves all other companies that make touch screen devices without excuses not to make their products accessible to blind would-be users. I was one of those who doubted but Apple has proven beyond contention that it can be done. And yes folks, I am a blind owner, and a proud one for that matter, of a 32-gig IPod and I’m going to be writing this review from a blind person’s perspective.
Of course I’d heard of IPods for years but I’m old-fashioned enough that it took me years to set aside a Diskman (it actually eventually just died on me), at which point I opted for a device called a Victor Reader Stream. This is a device designed specifically for us blind folks and it plays audiobooks of various formats including the new digital versions of the talking books we’ve listened to courtesy of the Library of Congress. It also plays music in MP3 format, so I simply ripped any CD’s I wanted to take with me to my laptop and then copied those files to the VR Stream. Just one problem. The Stream uses SD cards of up to only 32 gigabyte capacity, which meant you would have to sacrifice some tunes if you also wanted to take some books with you on a long car trip or vice versa. This did get frustrating to me, so I decided to take the plunge and order an IPod Touch so that I could focus my Stream solely on my passion for reading and recording the occasional podcasts (yes folks it’s also a voice recorder), while keeping my music on a separate device that I could devote solely to it.
All that rambling aside, let’s get on to the review. It should be said here, not that it really matters, that I didn’t order the IPod from Amazon since there are some products that I can find cheaper elsewhere and yes, the very! occasional times when I’ve gotten a defective product from Amazon. But let’s get on with it, shall we?

I thought this book was fantastic. You’ll fall in love with the characters, and miss them when it’s over, only to find that you now carry some of them with you. I think Kathryn Stockett is very talented, can’t wait to see what she does next. She put her heart into this book. While dealing with dark material, she managed to stay optimistic and hopeful. Inspiring.
