This Steamvac is a great way to clean carpets inexpensively. I have used a RugDoctor before and the SteamVac definitely did a much, much better job and it did not leave my carpets soaked. It is very loud…but aren’t all vacuums and such? I would recommend using very hot water. The machine was even pulling out dirt with no cleaning solution too. I have had a great experience using the Steamvac.

Days spent reading it: 4 days.

Why I read it: The Catcher in the Rye is an American classic and very controversial. I honestly wanted to see what was so controversial. Also, it was one of those “classics” that I did not read while in high school. In researching about it later I read that in 1981 it was the most censored book in US high schools and the second most taught book in high schools. It was one of the 10 most challenged books in 2005, but it came off the list in 2006. Those are some fun facts for you.

Brief review:
This book frankly annoyed me. The writing has very repetitive and had many aggravating sayings in it. The word “really” is used almost as much as the curse words that are prevalent throughout the book (one reason it is often censored–I would guess that gd appears 2-3 times a page at minimum, sometimes significantly more). And I assure you, both appear more than they need to, I really mean it.

Holden Caulfield is the main character. He is the epitome of teenage angst. His world is utterly pessimistic. He sees only the bad in everything except his sister and his deceased younger brother. He is bright, but is failing out of school. He is obsessed with sex, but cannot develop a relationship with a girl. He is active and pursues all the pleasure trappings that a big city have, but has no defining meaning to his life.

The book covers three days between him being kicked out of school and his untimely return home. Holden is depressed, hates everyone, exaggerates EVERYTHING (annoyingly so), and seems to have few people skills. In short, he is the perfect anti-hero and irritating enough that I did not like him one bit while reading this book.

I suppose this book speaks to the hearts of some disaffected youth, but they would have to be interested in drudging through 200 pages of dribble in order to find the voic

At first I was wary of buying this vacuum due to its less than stellar reviews. I think peoples’ expectations were too high for this price point. After living with the vacuum for months I can confidently recommend this as a solid product. It is heavy, but that is because it has a powerful motor. I never had the attachments fall off – they seem secure. The foot tilt lever doesn’t seem that flimsy as long as you don’t stomp on it or force it. It’s ugly, but it is a utilitarian object. I can care less what it looks like as long as it gets the job done. For ~$75 you can go wrong.

This product is outstanding. I’ve purchased several cleaners over the years and this one is the best one bar none. My carpet has never looked this good even with professional carpet cleaners doing the job. I’m sure you will feel the same. The speed at which I recieved the product was also outstanding…

There is no difference between this and the $65 monster cable that they will try to sell you at retail stores! Trust me, I am picky when it comes to my signal and picture quality and there is no difference at all.

I purchased this because it folds up compact for travel and is really easy to use. The downside for any child who likes to really splash and kick in the water is the bottom part of the seat does not fold down flat enough to accomodate playing. Also, you have to fill the bathtub really high or they are barely touched by the water. This product can tip forward easy if your child squirms a lot and gets enough leverage on the edge of the seat.

I HATE THIS PRODUCT!!! Is not compatible with earlier version! Can’t make revisions to “compatibility version,” everything’s deleted when it’s closed. Power Point doesn’t have same WordArt options as older version, so again can’t transfer. Means all my old ppt versions have to be converted & then are not “showable” on other computers with old version!

I could read this book a thousand times and never get tired of it. I really can’t think of any other book that I can say the same thing about it. I was just entering college when I read Catcher in the Rye the first time. It took me only two nights to finish it. I thnk the reason I enjoyed it so much is I could really relate to the struggles of Holden Caufield, the protagonist. I went through all these same crazy emotions when I was still finding myself at that age. Now that I finally know what I am doing with my life, it’s kind of like recapturing my youth every time I read this book. So, if you haven’t read this book yet, please add it to your list. It should be on everyone’s list.

I am pleased with these sheets. They are very soft and wash very well. The only thing I found was that they tend to be a little too big for my standard crib mattress. They stretch really well though so tucking them under the mattress corners was not a problem and they do stay in place.
